ABC Challenge - Base Camp (Glasgow!) Day 1, Saturday 06:30

After an eventful trip up yesterday involving a puncture on the motorway (special thanks to Mr & Mrs Horton fo their timely remote support) and some interesting communication on the walkie talkies (!!), we arrived safely in Glasgow. Through his vast network of contacts Tony had managed to book us a table at a local Italian restaurant where we all enjoyed a fine meal and discovered that the driver team are running a book on how far each of the walkers is going to get! Spirits were high as we returned to our salubrious digs to rest up....

Dawn on the day of the challenge - it looks like it is going to be a scorcher. The plan today is to head up to Fort Worth and prepare to start climbing Ben Nevis at 16:30 this afternoon. Obviously we will be holding a "mini" ABC meeting in a suitable greasy spoon as a priority this morning!
